Award Recommendation Helper
Awards happen because someone writes in. You don't need to be a member, you don't need to hold the award yourself, and you can recommend a friend. This walks you through Caid's award recommendation form field by field, helps you look the person up first, and gives you a copy button for every box. Every word of the case is yours. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
You do not have to write well to do this. The Crown needs facts, not flourishes. If you can tell a friend what you saw someone do, you can fill this out.
Step 1
Look them up
Start here for three reasons. You want their registered name spelled the way the Kingdom has it, you want to know they don't already hold the award, and their wiki page will remind you of things you'd forgotten.
No titles. The form wants the registered name, so if the OP spells it differently than you do, use the OP's spelling.
The Order of Precedence lists every award they already hold. Check it before you recommend.
Wiki pages work like a CV. Offices, classes taught, projects, years active — good raw material for step 3.
Open their entry from the OP search and paste the address here. The form asks for this at the very bottom.
Step 2
Pick the award
Peerage recommendations don't go through the Caidan Awards form. Each Order has its own secretary, and recommendations go to them by email. Current contacts are on Caid's recommendations page.
The form asks for this by name on arts awards. Be specific — "Ottoman costuming" or "Italian Renaissance dance," not "the arts."
Step 3
Answer four questions
Don't try to write a letter. Answer these the way you'd say them out loud, and the tool puts them together at the bottom. One or two sentences each is plenty.
One specific thing. Where were you, and what were they doing? A single real moment beats a pile of adjectives.
Years, seasons, or "every event since 2022." Guessing is fine — write "about three years" if that's what you know.
Name people or a group. Newcomers, their barony, an office, a practice, you. What would be missing if they stopped tomorrow?
Leave it blank if nothing comes to mind. Three answers is already a complete recommendation.
The form asks for no titles in the name fields. If you want yours on the recommendation, it goes at the end of the reasons.
Step 4
The rest of the form
No titles here — they sort the database on this field.
Royalty try to give awards where the recipient and their friends will be present. This is often the field that decides when it happens.
